Hi, I’m Hannah – aka The Practical Doula. I’m a full-spectrum birth and postnatal doula based in Shipley, West Yorkshire, and I’ve been supporting families since 2018. Basically, I’m the person who shows up with knowledge, calm vibes, and all the tools needed to make sure you feel supported, informed, and totally in charge of your own birth and postpartum journey.I offer the lot – birth and postnatal support, one-to-one “Power Hours” for when you need a sounding board, antenatal sessions, birth pool hire, and a stash of little goodies (think affirmation cards, labour combs, twinkly lights, and even cord ties) to make your birth space feel magic.My mission? To walk alongside you through pregnancy, birth, and beyond – no judgement, no agenda, no nonsense. Just evidence-based info, practical support, and a healthy dose of humour when you need it most. Whether you’re planning a home birth, hospital birth, VBAC, C-section or you’ve no idea yet, I’m here to make sure you feel heard, respected, and ready to do this your way.At heart, I’m all about community, creativity, and keeping things real (expect charity shop talk, loud dungarees, and a refusal to take any nonsense).
